Are you the type of person who seeks to strengthen your relationships? If you are that type of person, you know the blessings that come through bonding with others because GOD designed us to have joy as we connect with others and Him. In fact, our greatest blessing is spending eternity with Jesus Christ and knowing Him more and more. The Bible says in Revelations 22:4

“they shall see His face and His name will be on their foreheads.” NIV

When we spend time with others and communicate with them, there is something to be measured. This measurement is more than the words and the body language of the person, its’s a spirit to spirit interaction, a sense of who someone is—the measure of a man.

One day, we will meet Jesus face to face and it will be spirit-interaction overload. When our spirit tries to get the measure of Him, we will be floored because GOD’s traits are infinite, perfect and un-measure able. When His unhindered love penetrates the very molecules that make up our being, we will feel and experience something completely new that is un-measurable. Will we pass out from excited, joyful, crying, laughing, love, awe worship? To actually see the face of GOD—now that’s something—it’s everything!  Jesus desires, and even prayed, that we would see who He really is;

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.” John 17:24 NIV

Jesus knows when we see Him for who He really is it will bring us boundless joy. Joy will come from His immediate presence, but more importantly, from our souls communing with Him spiritually. The single greatest moment of our lives will be the moment we stand in His presence and see Him physically and spiritually. We know we are loved and accepted by GOD today but we know only in part. When we see Him face to face, the knowledge of love and acceptance will be fully realized without doubt. We will behold His physical and spiritual glory never to thirst again.

We might have deep connections with friends and loved ones today, but those connections can never truly satisfy that longing in our souls. They can’t plug into that GOD shaped hole in our heart that only HE can fill. Are you missing something in your life? Do you desire to know and to be known? Revelation 3:20 says;

Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone should hear my voice and open the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him and the with me.

Jesus is such a gentleman—He’s been waiting for you. Don’t waste another minute.

Reflections

Jesus proved He wants to spend eternity with you. Does this mean He would like to spend today with you?
