Time is our enemy in many regards–save one. If you have trusted Jesus as your savior, time is counting down to your victory. Every day you wake up is one step closer to Jesus.

But, there’s so much worry attached to time isn’t there? We’ve all said things like; “I don’t have enough time. I ran out of time. Do we have time? WHAT TIME IS IT?”

The worst part of how we experience time on Earth, is decay. Everything breaks down and falls apart or dies—it’s only a matter of time. But where there is no decay, time doesn’t matter. When Eternity begins, at the renewal of all things, there will be no more decay. The Bible says;

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.” Romans 8:20-21 NIV

Those verses give us a glorious hope. One day, the negative effect of time and decay will be reversed and done away with. When we reach the other side, we will have an unlimited supply of time. We will be released from the countdown effect of time that we experience during this lifetime. Sure, there will still be a chronological sequence to how we observe things, but in Eternity; there’s no crisis to fix, no rescue missions, no illness or death, no rusted parts to repair, no harmful bacteria on food, no frustration attached to waiting, no possibility of missing important events, no worry, no anxiety, no fear. There’s no time crunch to finish things, no deadlines or pressure. Nothing could be of higher priority than just enjoying the present moment. Eternity is a place of glorious rest!

Maybe you feel like you’ve wasted time. Perhaps someone has stolen time from you. In Jesus Christ, time cannot defeat you no matter what the enemy has stolen from you. The Bible says;

“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten —… Joel 2:25 NIV

GOD restores things in abundance–you cannot lose with GOD. Our loving Father loves to give to his children, and one day, He will give us the joy of an existence where time does not rule our lives!
